1 Description It occurs as white crystals or hard, white masses.

(A) Metallic silver is produced, either as a finely divided, gray precipitate or as a bright metallic mirror on the inner surface of the tube.
(B) A permanent, deep red color develops.
3 Solubility It is freely Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, in ether, in chloroform and in benzene.
4 Clarity and Color of Solution The sample solution and water are equally clear and when viewed transversely by transmitted light, exhibit no apparent difference in colour.
5 PH Between 9.5 to 10.5.
6 Alkalinity Not more than 3.5 ml is required for neutralization.
7 Sulfide No discoloration is evident within 5 min.
8 Iron Not more than 0.0025%.
9 Sodium Sulfite Not more than 5.0% on the dried basis.
10 Loss on drying Not more than 27.0%.
11 Assay Not less than 45.5% and not more than 54.5% of SO2 on the dried basis.

PACKAGING

MOLFORM™ SFS is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside, and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
